This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Kathleen (Kathy) Chambron, born in New York on July 21, 1950, and passed peacefully on April 24, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.

Kathy grew up with her mom and sister in Queens, New York. She ended up quitting high school to help support her family, working various jobs, including serving behind the soda counter owned by one of the mafia's infamous leaders, John Gotti. In the mid-1970s, she met her future husband, Robert, on the streets of New York. They soon learned that Robert and Kathy's sister were born at the same hospital on the same day. Six months later, they married and, within a year, decided to start their life as a married couple by moving to Largo, Florida, where Kathy lived until 2011.

Shortly after moving to Florida, Kathy had her only child, Jaime, in March 1977.

Most Friday nights, you would not find Kathy at home or out on the town with friends. Instead, you would find her at St. Pat's church playing bingo with many retired ladies. She also organized, from time to time, "The Bingo Bus," which took the ladies from Largo to the Seminole Indian reservation's casino for a night of gaming. In the late 1980s, Kathy returned to school and obtained her GED.

Kathy returned to New York for a few years and then relocated to an apartment at Juliette Fowler Communities in Dallas, Texas, in 2014. There, she spent almost a decade telling stories and playing games with new friends and family.

After more than a decade of managing rheumatoid arthritis and a recurring infectious disease these last few years, she is now pain-free.  A Celebration of Life is planned at the chapel at Juliette Fowler on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at 2pm. The chapel is at 4295 Eastside Avenue, and parking is accessible off of Fulton Street. Guests are welcome to wear purple in honor of Kathy. (pin to chapel https://maps.app.goo.gl/2MRzcgfNjCzZ9yxM7)

Kathy is survived by her daughter Jaime Chambron, husband Kevin Buehler, her grandchildren Roth and Vaughn Buehler, her nephew John Langona, wife Kim, and daughter Nicole, and her cousin Connie Rodriquez, daughters Monique and Arlette, and son Peter.
